Title: Effect of Atorvastatin combined with Aspirin for the blood lipid and de-gree of nervous functional defects of patients with acute ischemic stroke
Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of Atorvastatin combined with Aspirin for the blood lipid and degree of nervous functional defects of patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods The clinical data of 160 cases of patients with acute ischemic stroke admitted to Department of Neurology of Xi'an NO.4 Hospital from April 2013 to June 2015 was analyzed, and the patients were divided into two groups according to different treating methods, group A(60 cases)and group B(100 cases). The blood lipid and degree of nervous functional defects before and after treatment between the two groups were observed, and the death rate and recurrence rate of the two groups were recorded. Results The levels of TG [(1.79 ±0.75),(1.80 ±0.71)mmol/L], TC [(5.91 ±1.60),(5.93 ±1.58) mmol/L], HDL-C [(0.95 ±0.27),(0.96 ±0.24) mmol/L], LDL-C [(3.87±1.59),(3.90±1.62) mmol/L] before treatment in group A and group B had no statistically significant differences(t = 0.08, 0.08, 0.08, 0.11, all P 0.05). The levels of TG [(1.02 ±0.41) mmol/L], TC [(3.28 ±0.97) mmol/L], LDL-C [(2.05±0.90) mmol/L] after treatment in group B were lower than those of group A [(1.66 ±0.53),(4.84±1.21),(3.68±1.32) mmol/L](t = 8.55, 8.96, 9.28, all P 0.05), the level of HDL-C [(1.24 ±0.51) mmol/L] after treatment in group B was higher than that of group A [(0.89±0.14) mmol/L](t = 4.11, P 0.05). The levels of TG, HDL-C,LDL-C of group A before and after treatment had no statistically significant differences(t = 1.10, 0.49, 0.71, all P 0.05), the level of TC after treatment in group A was lower than before treatment(t = 4.13, P 0.05). The levels of TG,TC and LDL-C of group B after treatment were lower than those before treatment(t = 9.51, 14.29, 9.98, all P 0.05),the level of HDL-C of group B after treatment was higher than that before treatment(t = 3.20, P 0.05). The total effective rate of group B(100%) was higher than that of group A(85%)(χ2=16.22, P 0.05). The death rate(0%) and recurrence rate(0%) of group B were lower than those of group A(5%, 10%)(χ2=5.13, 10.53, all P 0.05). Conclusion Atorvastatin combined with Aspirin in the treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke can reduce blood lipid, and improve neurological function, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
