Abstract: Zhuang’s Liao song, which is very popular in the Youjiang River valley, is an artistic result of song-fair culture and the carrier of Zhuang People’s conditions, custom, history, hopes and skills that passed from generation to generation. The Liao song is a combined intelligence created by folk-song masters and singers of Zhuang to show feelings and it has a long history. It is made up of day-song, night-song, thief-song, house-building song, March song and collection of short songs, using “five speeches” to show joy and “land” character as script. It is a masterpiece of folk literature of the Zhuang natives.
