Title: Nonlinear percolation theory and numerical simulation in low permeability reservoirs
Abstract: There are still many issues which need to be worked out in research of nonlinear flow in low permeability reservoirs. For this reason,a new flow model was deduced in view of the caplillary model.Meanwhile, the denotation of parameters in the new model was explained detailedly. On the basis of the new model, theroy of single phase flow in low permeability reservoirs was set up.The single-phase model was introduced into two-phase flow on the basis of the theory of channel flow.According to the theory above, numerical simulation was set up.This simulation includes the influence of threshold pressure and bend segment of nonlinear flow in low permeability reservoirs.Calculation Results of reservoir performance with Darcy model,pseudo-threshold pressure gradient model, new nonlinear model separately indicate that: For low permeability reservoirs, most flow regimes in them are nonlinear and only a few flow regimes around wells are pseudo-linear,calculation results of nonlinear model are between those of Darcy model and those of pseudo-threshold pressure gradient model.
