Title: Extraction and Determination of(+)-Catechin and Phloridzin from Cynomorium Songaricum
Abstract: A method for the simultaneous determination of(+)-Catechin and Phloridzin in extracts of Cynomorium songaricum was developed using high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC) coupled with diode array detector(DAD).A good separation was achieved by using a C18 HPLC column with gradient elution.At the same time,the method for extracting flavonoids from C.songaricum was optimized using the total content of(+)-Catechin and Phloridzin as extraction index and with the ratio of material to liquid,extraction duration and extraction times as influential factors in the orthogonal experiment.The optimum extracting conditions were 7.5 times quantity of methanol to herbal material at 28 kHz and 50 ℃,extraction for three times for 30 min each time.The proposed method was used to extract and determine the two flavonoids in C.songaricum collected from different producing area.The result showed that the method was good in aspects of extraction,precision,accuracy and stability.It can provide a reference to the extraction,analysis and quality control of flavonoids in C.songaricum and its products.
