Title: MSCTA Diagnosis in the Origin of Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor
Abstract: Objective To investigate the value of multislice spiral CT angiography(MSCTA)in diagnosing the origin of gastrointestinal stromal tumor(GIST).Materials and Methods 19 exogenous gastrointestinal stromal tumors confirmed by operation were analyzed retrospectively.Vascular three-dimensional reconstruction with volume rendering(VR)based on add vessel(AV)were performed on workstation for all patients. The origin of the tumor was judged by the feeding artery and the collateral circulation of the portal vein, and then the results were compared with operation. Results Among 21 Gusts, there were 12 tumors raised from stomach,6 from small intestinal tract and 2 from colon, and 1 came from unknown the exact location of intestinal tract. The maximum diameter of these tumors ranged from 5.5 cm to 21.5 cm,the average was 9.3 cm.The accuracy rate of location diagnosis to tumor was 95.2%(20/21)according to the feeding artery which display rate was 100%(21/21).The incidence rate of the collateral circulation of the portal vein surrounding the tumor was 52.4%(11/21).Conclusion MSCTA can provide important evidence to the origin of GIST.
