Title: Comparative Study on the Different Coagulants for Treating Low Temperature,Low Turbidity and High Color Water
Abstract: In order to clarify the removal performance of turbidity, chromaticity, organic, and CODMn in low temperature, low turbidity, high chromaticity raw water by different coagulant, coagulant aid,laboratory-scale Coagulation experiments were carried out by using six kinds of coagulants such as: poly-silicic-ferric sulfate(PSF) and iron and zinc silicate(PSFZn),compound aluminum iron(PAFC),aluminum sulfate(AS),polyaluminium chloride(APC),and Ferric Chloride(FeCl3) which were made in our laboratory and polyacrylamide(PAM),with reaction conditions: 3℃,rapid stirring1 min, slow stirring 30min,precipitation 30min.The results showed that compound aluminum iron(PAFC) are the optimal coagulant and the optimal dose is 2mg/L,and turbidity, chromaticity, organic, and CODMn in the effluent was 92.97%,82.69%,41.54% separately. Moreover,a remarkable effect was got by the combination of PAFC and PAM.
