Title: Clinical Application of Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion in Type 2 Diabetic In-Patients
Abstract: Objective:To study the regiments of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSⅡ)in admitted type 2 diabetic patients, and to analyse its effectiveness and insulin dosage in different condition. Methods:A total of 42 type 2 diabetic patients were treated by CSⅡ.The total efficacy of CSⅡ was evaluated. The use of CSⅡ was also analysed in the newly diagnosed patients, elder patients, and perioperative period of patients. Results:The excellent control of blood glucose were achieved in(7.5±2.6)days in the dosage of insulin(48.8±11.9)U/d by CSⅡ.There is no statistics significance in the basal insulin dosage and the bolus insulin dosage between the newly diagnosed group and the previously diagnosed group. The perioperative period of patients reached the mark more slowly and had a higher basal insulin dosage and bolus insulin dosage. There was lower basal insulin dosage in the elder patients. Conclusion:Type 2 diabetic in-patients can quickly achieve optimal glycemic control by CS Ⅱ.CSⅡ may decrease glucotoxicity to pancreatic β cells and delay the deterioration of β-cell function. The application of CSⅡ among the patients is varied with different conditions.
