Abstract:The aseismic performance of the main bridge of Bai River Grand Bridge was analysed by the finite element method to improve its structural seismic resistance capability.According to its characteristic,...The aseismic performance of the main bridge of Bai River Grand Bridge was analysed by the finite element method to improve its structural seismic resistance capability.According to its characteristic,the space finite element model of the bridge was established by the Midas/Civil program,the analysis on the structural self-vibration characteristic,response spectrum and time domain response under earthquake wave were all made.The results of calculation indicate that,the whole rigidity of bridge is strong;vertical vibration modes give priority to the bridge;the most unfavorable working section is the bottom section of the pier No.24,which can be regarded as the control section in aseismic design of the bridge;the baffle should be used besides the bearings at the two ends of girder to keep the ends of girder from departing from the bearings.Read More
