Abstract: An isolate of Trichoderma harzianum (T-82) was collectad from a rice leaf surface in 1977. Autoclaved wheat bran inoculated with conidia of T. harzianum was highly effective against Southern blight disease of Jasmine (Jasminum) . When T. harzianum preparation was mixed with soil at rates of 0.5 or 0.7g/kg soil, and applied to pots or fields for biocontrol of Jasmine Southern blight disease, Sclerotium rolfsii, the percentages of the disease plants were significently reduced by 97.62% and 100% respectively.
