Title: Measurement for and Regional Difference Analyses of Inter-province Hater-use Efficiency in Chinese Cities
Abstract: Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is an effective method to evaluate the water-use efficiency. In this paper it is adopted to assess inter-province water-use efficiency in Chinese cities due to the complicated relationship between inputs and outputs of the operational system of urban water resource. It is found that the whole systematical efficiency is quite low and the differences among regions are great which can be attributed to the over emission of untreated sewage, meanwhile the industrialization and urbanization exert double impacts on it. In conclusion, relevant suggestions are proposed to promote the comprehensive use and exploration of urban water resource.
