Title: Kinematic Study on Tennis Players' Forehand Stroke Skill
Abstract: In the basic skills of tennis, forehand is considered the most important skill after serve. This study analyzed 12 male China tennis players' forehand stroke skill features by the methods of literature review and measurements. For the purpose of revealing skill differences between players with different levels and further understanding the core elements impacting stroke speed of forehand, this study focused on joint angle, velocity and angular velocity features which are related with batting action. The results showed that compared with the general players, outstanding players have a faster head level and a faster shoulder level at forehand stroke moment. But the trunk angular velocity has no significant difference. Without considering the group case, rotation angles of players' shoulder, hip, and racket have obvious differences, which indicates that considering standard skill movement doesn't have practical meaning.
