Title: GC-MS Analysis of Essential Oil Components from Flowers of Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl.
Abstract: The chemical components of essential oil from the flowers of Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl.were analyzed by GC-MS in this paper. Methods:The volatile components was extracted by diethyl e- ther, then isolated by steam distillation method.Their chemical compositions and relative contents were analyzed by GC-MS with HP-55% phenyl methyl siloxane capillary column(30m×0.25 mm×0.25μm).The carry- ing gas was helium, the flow rate was 1 mL·min~(-1) and the temperature was in rate of 8℃·min~(-1) from 30℃ (hold 5 min) to 120℃,then in rate of 20℃·min~(-1) from 120℃ to 240℃ (kept 10 min).Results:Sixty- one volatile compounds of Flos Edgeworthlae were identified, which comprised 60.14% of volatile fraction. One nitrogenous configurations;decane,1,1′-oxybis-;7-pentadecene 7-bromomethyl-and tert-hexadecanethi- ol were especial components. Conclusion:The method is reliable, stabilize and reproducible, therefore this meth- od can be applied to the analysis of the essential oil components, which was extracted from Flos Edgeworthlae components.
