Title: CO_2 Corrosion Behavior of P110 Steel at the Simulated Environments of Oil Field
Abstract: Corrosion behavior of P110 steel at the simulated environments of oil field was studied with mass loss and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) and polarization curves. The results show that along with the reaction and corrosion scale formed, the uniform corrosion rate decreased gradually.Especially when it came to 72h,the corrosion rate changed very slowly.Under the corrosion scale, there existed apparently local corrosion morphologies. The corrosion potential increased and the corrosion current decreased, and the diffusion characteristic occoured at cathodic Tafel area.At the beginning of corrosion reaction of P110 steel, there were two time constants in EIS plots.Along with corrosion reaction, the corrosion scale became thicker and denser, and there was overlaying of Warburg impedance and capacity reactance at EIS low frequency zone. Finally, the electrode reaction was controlled by activates and mass transport together.
