Title: The Finite Element Analysis on the Influence of the Thickness of the Embedded PZT Ceramic to the Energy of Acoustic Signal
Abstract: Using the inverse piezoelectric effect of piezoelectric ceramic which is embedded in concrete,we can make the real-time detection for the health of concrete structure. To guarantee the quality of received signal at the receiver, the periodic pulse with the resonant frequency of piezoelectric ceramic is used to inspire the piezoelectric ceramic. But the piezoelectric ceramic with different thickness has different resonant frequency. Using Ansys software the influence of thickness of piezoelectric ceramic to the resonant frequency has been studied. Making the simulation research of the ultrasonic beamed by piezoelectric ceramic the influence of thickness of piezoelectric ceramic to ultrasonic has been researched too. Experiments showed that the spectrum of resonant frequency has several inflection points when the thickness of piezoelectric ceramic is less than 1 mm. For the piezoelectric ceramic, the thickness of which is greater than 1 mm,if the thickness keeps increasing, the maximum vibration amplitude of piezoelectric ceramic decreased, and the resonant frequency also decreases, using the resonant frequency of piezoelectric, with different thickness,to inspire the corresponding piezoelectric ceramic, the maximum sound pressure of ultrasonic at the point of center beamed by piezoelectric ceramic will increase with increasing the thickness of piezoelectric ceramic.
