Title: Effects of salvianolic acid B on cardiac hemodynamics in isolated working rat heart
Abstract: Objective To explore the effects of salvianolic acid B on hemodynamics in normal isolated working rat hearts. Methods The effects of salvianolic acid B on myocardiac contractility were observed by the Langendroff model, perfused SD rat heart. The hemodynamic parameters including left ventricular systolic pressure(LVSP),left ventricular end-diastolic pressure(LVEDP),intraventricular pressure maximum upstroke velocity(+dp/dtmax),maximum decrease in the velocity of intraventricular pressure(-dp/dtmax) and heart rate(HR) on the isolated normal rat hearts were observed. Results Salvianolic acid B slowed HR and reduced LVSP,and ±dp/dtmax in a dose-dependent manner.Salvianolic acid B had no remarkable effect on LVEDP.Conclusions The salvianolic acid B of Salvia miltiorrhiza has increasing effects on the myodynamia in normal isolated working rat hearts in a dose-dependent manner.
