Title: The Criticism of Aesthetic Consciousness by Hans-Georg Gadamer and Its Revelation
Abstract: Gadamer reconstructed the theory of art truth by Hermeneutics and stated the truth of art that was regarded as standpoint of art theory through criticism of aesthetic consciousness. Gadamer pointed out that the aesthetic interest by Kant and the aesthetic kingdom by Schiller and the aesthetic perception by Hamann as well as the aesthetic experience by Jauss which took aesthetic consciousness as standpoint of art theory showed limitations of aesthetics to art theory because the truth of art was neglected in them. The conclusion by Gadamer is greatly valuable for the construction of literary theory in China.
