Title: Study on Solvent Recovery of Batch Extractive Distillation for Separation of Ethanol-Water
Abstract: In this paper, the process of solvent flow velocity choosing and the solvent recovery operation during batch extractive distillation for the separation of ethanol-water azeotropic mixture using glycol as the solvent was studied. The results showed that the relative volatility of ethanol-water azeotropic mixture increased obviously as solvent ratio increased and the slop cut of water-glycol lasted a very short time during which the temperature at the top of the column rose sharply. When the reflux ratio was up to 2:1, the yield percentage of solvent recovery reached the value of 99.33%.
