Title: Putian Literary Style of Ming Dynasty and the Influence of the Official Literature on the Local Areas
Abstract: As an important part of Fujian literature in Ming dynasty,Putian literature was different from Fuzhou and Jinjiang. It was traditional and conservative,with strong background of Neo-Confucianism and scholar bureaucrat atmosphere,and was always ignored by academics. The forming of this writing style dates back to the tradition of Neo-Confucianism of Song and Yuan Dynasties,and took the chance of imperial academy selection in early Ming Dynasty,depending on the powerful local culture of imperial examinations. By personal example as well as verbal instruction of the imperial academy officials and government officials,and by the heritage of poetics,some official elements of Guange literature and capital literature were infused into local literature were literary activities. It was a cultural control of the local pubic society as well as a literary regulation guided by Confucianism. It also promoted the interaction between the literature of the official and the local.
