Title: Numerical Simulation of Free Surface Flows Using Improved SPH Method
Abstract: It is known that the conventional smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH) method has been hindered with low accuracy and poor stability. The accuracy and stability of the conventional SPH method are also closely related to border area and the distribution of particles. In order to improve computational accuracy, modified schemes for approximating density were used. The modified SPH method was used to investigate free surface flows. It is clearly demonstrated that the modified SPH method can effectively describe the dynamics of flows and the variation of the free surface, such as the spray splatters and fusion of interaction with obstacles and wall. The obtained SPHresults show good agreement with the numerical results which is obtained using the volume of fluid(VOF) model.
