Title: An Analysis on the Current Status of College Freshmen's English Learning and its Corresponding Strategies
Abstract: College English learning is the extension and improvement of middle school English learning. Considering the current status of the ill-connection between high school basic education and college education in China, the paper analyses the current status of English learning for both middle school students and college freshmen and further discusses the importance of reform in English teaching models and the necessity of cultivating learners' autonomy in college English learning. Meanwhile, some corresponding strategies are shown in view of some typical questions. The analysis could practically inspire both the teaching and learning of English of freshmen.
