Title: The Frequency Control of Virtual Synchronous Generator Based on Adaptive Adjusting
Abstract: As most of distributed generation integrated into the power grid through power electronic interface, the frequency stability of traditional power gird faces serious challenges with the high penetration of distributed generation. Virtual synchronous generators( VSG) are attracting widespread attention for their frequency response characteristic of conventional synchronous generator. The primary and secondary frequency modulation processes of virtual synchronous generator are analyzed in this paper. For the VSG 's traditional droop control,it is difficult to keep frequency within small deviation in island operation mode when the load changes, and it's also hard to choose proper parameters to realize no-deviation frequency control. The structure of governor is adjusted according the mathematical expression of frequency characteristic. M oreover, the adjusting frequency modulation implements no-deviation frequency control smoothly and quickly. Simulation results in M ATLAB / Simulink validate the proposed control strategy.
