Title: Baihutong and the Chinese Philosophical Heritage
Abstract: The Han Dynasty is a period of major summation in the history of Chinese philosophy, whose outcome is the unification of the academic world by Confucianism marked by the book Baihutong, the understanding of which is indispensable to the mastery of the whole Chinese philosophical tradition. The author of this paper briefly outlines the veins of Chinese philosophy from the perspective of comparison between China and the West and of the origin of philosophy and tentatively reviews the Han Confucianism.
