Title: Soil Physical Properties of Sand-fixing Forests in Maowusu Sandland
Abstract: With the method of representative field sampling investigation and laboratory analysis, the study on the effects of different sand-fixing forests on soil physical properties in Maowusu sandland was carried out.The results showed that the improvement effects of different tree species on soil physical properties were different. In 0~5 cm soils layer,Hedysarum scoparium forest had the greatest impact on the soil moisture,20 years Pinus sylvestris var.mongolica forest had the greatest impact on the soil bulk density and soil porosity; In 5~20 cm soils layer,Hippophae rhamnoides forest exhibited the greatest impact on the soil moisture,Hedysarum scoparium forest had the greatest impact on the soil bulk density and soil porosity; The soil physical properties of 0~5 cm soil layer were better than those of 5~20 cm soil layer obviously in shrubbery. With the forest stand age,the effects of sand-fixing forests on soil physical properties were remarkable.
