Title: Structural Optimal Design of Megneto-rheological Dampers under Impact Load
Abstract: For recoil mechanical applications,MR dampers are under impact load and high velocities,in this environment,severe performance indices of MR dampers are required.In respect that the dynamic range of the MR dampers in tests are not satisfied,optimal design of MR dampers for gun recoil mechanism applications is put forward based on the non-linear Herschel-Bulkley fluid model by using multipule objective method.Then the rules of the magnetic circuit design of MR dampers is discussed,and the magnetic field in the piston is analyzed by finite element methods,based on the optimized geometry of MR damper.The results show that the magnetic flux density of the MR fluid gap is large enough and evenly distributed.
