Title: Application of water-based nanofluid in copper wire-bonded flat heat pipe
Abstract: An experimental study was carried out to investigate the thermal performance of the copper wire-bonded flat heat pipes that employ three types of nanofluid as working fluid.The Cu nanoparticle 20 nm in mean diameter,The Cu nanoparticle in mean diameter of 20 nm and 50 nm and the CuO nanoparticle in mean diameter of 50nm Water-based suspensions(20 nm Cu nanofluid,50 nm Cu nanofluid,50 nm CuO nanofluid) were used in the study.The influences of working fluid,concentration of nanofluid,working temperature or pressure on the thermal performance of heat pipe were investigated emphatically.Experimental results showed that using nanofluid as working fluid can improve the heat pipe heat transfer performance;The best heat transfer performance of heat pipe is achieved when the concentration is 1.0%,even in different operation temperature conditions and using different nanofluid.Nanofluid is a kind of new working fluid to the copper wire-bonded flat heat pipe.
