Title: Properties of terpenyl polyurethane acrylate resin through UV-thermal dual curing
Abstract: Photo-heat dual curable terpenyl polyurethane acrylate resins were prepared by terpenyl hydroxy polyester and prepolymer of isophorone diisocyanate( IPDI) with pentaerythritol triacrylate( PETA). Molecular structures were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectrum( FT-IR),and thermal stabilities were characterized by the thermogravimetric analysis( TGA). The effects of UV curing time, thermal curing temperature and film thickness on gel content were investigated. Results indicated that properties of photo-heat curing films were superior to that of photo curing films except the flexibility, the pencil hardness increased from F to 2H,the adhesion increased from 2 degree to 0 degree. The solvent resistance and mechanical properties could be improved at different degrees. Terpene maleic anhydride( TMA) increased the thermal stability of the films.
