Methods After one intact single root maxillary premolar was scanned with micro-CT,the data was dealt with MIMICS,GEOMAGIC,ANSYS.The three-dimensional finite element models of normal root, flared roots of maxillary premolar restored with four different post-core crowns were established, and the S1 and shear stress distribution of the roots was analyzed with ANSYS. Results S1 stress concentrated at middle lingual surface, post apex part of the root.As the elastic modular increased, the stress concentration increased, and the stress gradually transferred into inner and apex of the root. Conclusion The stress intensity increased successively as the following order: polyethylene post-core,composite resin,glass-fiber post, composite resin core, flowing resin,glass-fiber post, flowing resin core, gold alloy post-core.Read More
