Title: A Comparative Study of Zhu Xi's and Yi Hwang's Philosophies
Abstract: As two representative figures in ancient China and Korea,both Zhu Xi and Yi Hwang devoted themselves to the study of rationalistic Confucianism.It has been admitted that Yi Hwang took up Zhu's ideology though he had different ideas about dialectics and views of knowing-doing.The article focuses on the similarities and differences of Zhu Xi's and Yi Hwang's thoughts as well as their origins and influences.This will undoubtedly be significant to an overall understanding of the close relations between the development and features of philosophy in China and those of in Korea.
