Title: Empirical Study of the Effects of Rural Financial Development on the Farmers' Income Structure since the Reform and Opening-up
Abstract: The slow increase in farmers' income is the core issue for agriculture,countryside and farmers.Based on the structure of farmers' revenue sources,the paper examines the effects of rural financial development on the farmers' income from 1978 to 2008.The results show that rural financial development has had a negative impact on the farmers' income from household operations,while the structure of rural financial development can increase the level of wage income.Therefore,the farmers' income level should be promoted by providing the policy-banks support for agriculture and increasing the credit line of the township and village enterprises.
