Title: Study on the relevant study between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome in Chengdu
Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate and analyze the relationship between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and metabolic syndrome(MS).METHODS The disease history were investigated,the general physical data were measured,the biochemical index were detected,upper abdominal ultrasonographic examination were undertaken in 20-80 years old persons in Chengdu who did health examinations in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from February 2011 to May 2011.The data were analyzed by statistical analysis.RESULTS The prevalence rate of NAFLD was 12.33%,and the prevalence of NAFLD and MS was 3.47%.There was an increasing trend in the prevalence of NAFLD and MS with the increase of body mass index(BMI).The BMI,systolic blood pressure,diastolic blood pressure,fasting plasma glucose,triglyceride and low density lipoprotein of the NAFLD group were significantly higher than those of the normal group(P﹤0.01);The high density lipoprotein was lower than that of the normal group(P﹤0.01).The alanine transaminase,aspartate amino transferase and gamma-glutamyl transferase of the NAFLD and MS group were higher than those of the NAFLD group(P﹤0.01).CONCLUSION NAFLD is closely related to the metabolic syndrome.We should pay attention to mutual promotion between NAFLD and MS and give comprehensive prophylaxis and treatment.
