Simulat...The simulation calculation of collimating and collecting effects of spherical mirrors and parabolic mirrors of different focal lengths using optical simulation software TracePro was performed. Simulation results show that when focal lengths are the same, spherical mirrors have better collimating and collecting performance than parabolic mirrors, but they have higher requirement on position precision of light source; for parabolic mirrors of the same focal length, change of depth has no influence on the results when their depths are bigger than focal length; energy utilization ratio of light source is at the highest when its dimensions areΦ3.5×6 mm2 and focal length of parabolic mirror is 15 mm. The simulation results are used to guide the design of light source and collimating system. The optimized system has a power drop of 75% compared with the original light source, and the size of the collimating system is cut by half, thus realizing the optimized design of optical system of AOTF mid-IR spectrometer.Read More
