Abstract: The research based on casual ambiguity is one of the central issues in strategic management.Upon the resource-based view,this article explores concepts of resources and competences,and their classified functions in the course of their application,examines ambiguities of resources and casual ambiguity between resources and competitive advantage,and analyzes the impact of casual ambiguity on the competitive advantage inside and outside a firm and their primary relations with the sustainable competitive advantage.
