Title: The Equity of Compulsory Education in China:In the Perspective of Resources Allocation
Abstract: Through benefit incidence analysis, the paper makes an empirical study on the equity of China's compulsory education in 2003 and 2007 in the perspective of the public resources allocation. On one hand,as a whole, the equity of China's compulsory education is increasing, and the equity in the primary education is higher than the one in the secondary education. On the other hand, form the angle of public education funding per capita, the equity of public expenditure on compulsory education is still low,and the gap among students is increasing. Based on the deep analysis of the reasons for the inequitable compulsory education in China,it gives some suggestion about the improvement of the equity of compulsory education.
