Title: Tissue Factor and Tissue Factor Pathway Inhibitor in Coronary Heart Disease
Abstract: Tissue factor (TF) is an initiator of extrinsic route of blood coagulation, and causes thrombosis through blood coagulative activation.Tissue factor pathway inhibitor(TFPI)is the endogenous inhibitor of TF,which is divided into TFPI-1 and TFPI-2,both these two members have the function of anti-coagulation.In addition,TFPI-2 plays an very important role on stabilizing the atherosclerotic plaque. Both TF and TFPI are important to the coronary heart disease. The article discussed the physiological function of TF and TFPI,and the relationship between TF TFPI and coronary heart disease.
