Title: Effects of Potassium Fertilizer Application on Yield and Agronomic Characters in Early Rice
Abstract: Effects of different amounts of K fertilizer application on rice yield, main agronomic characters and economic benefits in early rice were studied in the field experiment. The test results showed that K application significantly increased rice grain yield, straw yield and total biomass yield, compared with the CKⅠ and CKⅡ.The rice grain yield, straw yield and total biomass yield increased with the increasing dosage of K application.K application increased the rice plant height, effective panicles and 1 000 grain weight. The net income was the highest at the rate of K2O 90 kg/hm2.Below this level, the net income increased with the increasing dosage of K application, but the net income decreased at the rate of K2O 120 kg/hm2.Based on the fertilizer-yield responses the theoretical maximum grain yield was gained with K2O 89.8 kg/hm2.It was suggested that the recommended K application rate for early rice is K2O 75~105 kg/hm2 with 22 500 kg/hm2 pig manure application in this area.
