Abstract: The porous -Fe2O3 nanorods were successfully prepared by annealing precursor powders, which were produced by pressure-thermalcrystallization method using FeCl3·6H2O as raw material. Microstructure and morphology of the prepared products had been characterized by means of transmission electron microscopy(TEM),selected area electron diffraction(SAED) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results show the particle has rod-like apparent structure. The diameter and the length of the particle are 20~40 nm and 300~500 nm, respectively. The influences of reaction pressure and acidity on the formation, morphology and particle size of Fe2O3 nanorods are also investigated.
