Title: The use of spiral CT and 3-dimensional reconstruction in complicated joint fracture
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the useful value of spiral CT and 3 dimensional reconstruction in complicated joint fracture. Methods:Twenty seven patients with complicated joint fracture received preoperative radiography and spiral CT.The results of radiography,CT plain scan and 3 dimensional reconstruction were compared each other according to the operative finding. Results:There were 11 patients whose diagnoses were corrected preoperatively on the basis of the results of spiral CT and 3 dimensional reconstruction.Compared with radiography and CT plain scan,3 dimensional reconstruction clearly exhibited the stereoscopy of injured joint, such as the position of fracture pieces and different parts of the joint. Conclusion:The use of spiral CT and 3 dimensional reconstruction could improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of complicated joint fracture.
