Title: Changes of serum uric acid in patients of type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction
Abstract: Objective:To explore the changes of serum uric acid in patients of type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction. Methods:The patients were divided into three groups:69 cases of type 2 diabetes were served as diabetes group,47 cases of type 2 diabetes complicated with cerebral infarction served as complication group and 35 normal health adults as control group. The levels of serum uric acid and lipids were measured. Results:The levels of serum uric acid were obviously higher in diabetes group as compared with that of normal control group(P0.001).The levels of serum uric acid showed the highest volume in the complication group among the three groups(P0.05).Conclusion:serum uric acid increases significantly in patients of type 2 diabetes, especially in those complicated with cerebral infarction.Hyperuricemia might be one of the risk factors of cerebral infarction in patients of type 2 diabetes.
