Title: Thermal Desorption Gas Chromatography in Determining Benzene in the Indoor Air
Abstract: [Objective] To establish thermal desorption gas chromatography for determining benzene in the indoor air.[Methods] Air samples were collected with active carbon tubes and heated with thermal desorptioner;benzene was desorbed with nitrogen;analysis was made with gas chromatography FID detector.[Results] The detection limit was 0.5 μg/m~3 when the sampling amount was 20 L;the recovery rate was 94.6%~96.0%,the RSD was 1.83%~5.33%.No significant difference was found compared with the international standard.[Conclusion] This method is simple,accurate and sensitive;it is applicable for determining benzene in the indoor air of the environment and working places.
