Title: Ultrasonic attenuation imaging based on an improved spectral difference method
Abstract: An improved spectral difference method for ultrasound attenuation imaging is presented in this paper. Instead of fragmenting the data from the extremity,the improved method takes the estimated cross-correlation coefficient as the featured parameter and segments the scanned data. Three tissue-mimicking material samples containing different attenuation particles were prepared. The attenuation of each sample was measured. A good agreement between the estimated attenuation coefficients and the known reference values was obtained. In addition,the attenuation images of one sample were acquired and validate the improved method.
