Title: Biochemical Diversity Analysis of the Natural Hybrid Progenies of Camellia sinensiscv.Huangshanzhong
Abstract: The biochemical diversity of the 130 natural hybrid progenies of Camellia sinensis Huangshanzhong were identified for the foundation of crossbreeding parent screening and the new variety selective breeding. The results showed that the biochemical diversity and variation were high in the natural hybrid progenies of Camellia sinensis Huangshanzhong. The average diversity index and coefficient of variation were 1.99 and 30.5%,respectively.In principal component analysis, the first 4 principal components represented 84.86% of the biochemical diversity.Based on the biochemical data,130 germplasms were clustered into 3 groups. The germplasms in the first group suited to be processed black tea and green tea.The germplasms in the second and third group suited to be processed green tea.A set of special germplasms on some biochemical composition were selected.Since Camellia sinensis Huangshanzhong was introduced into Shandong province, the biochemical components of its natural hybrid progenies have had great variation, with abundant amino acid, theanine, tea polyphenols, cafeine and catechins in some individual plant,to screen outstanding plants out of them can be used for tea breeding.
