Title: Experimental Study on Low-strength Domestic Wastewater Treatment by Anoxic/Aerobic Membrane Bioreactor
Abstract: In order to solve the difficulty in treating low-strength domestic wastewater(COD200 mg/L) using the traditional activated sludge process, the treatment efficiency of the low-strength domestic wastewater by anoxic/aerobic membrane bioreactor(A/O-MBR) was investigated. The results show that under the condition of mixed liquor suspended solids(MLSS) of 4 000 mg/L to 6 000 mg/L,hydraulic retention time(HRT) of 19.2 h,dissolved oxygen(DO) of 1.5 to 2.5 mg/L in aerobic area, and sludge return ratio of 200% to 300%,the removal effects of COD and NH3-N are good, with average removal efficiencies of 92.2% and 95.9% respectively. In the case of no discharge of excess sludge, the continuous operation for 100 days shows no membrane fouling phenomenon and stable effluent quality.
