Title: Effects of taking folic acid and vitamin B_6 on serum homocysteine level in acute cerebrovascular patients
Abstract: Objective To study the folic acid and vitamin B_6 on serum homocysteine concentration in acute cerebrovascular patients. Methods 82 cases of acute cerebrovascular patients were measured by fluorescence polarization immunoassay(FPIA).Under routine therapy, they were divided at random into folic acid, vitamin B_6,folic acid-vitamin B_6 and control groups. Results Serum homocysteine levels decreased significantly after taking folic acid and vitamin B_6 in each group, but there was no significant in difference between the four groups. Conclusions The combined use of vitamin B_6 and folic acid can drop serum homocysteine level significantly,it may prevent benefit for the acute cerebrovascular disease.
