Title: Application of Electroacupuncture to Anesthesia Induction and Endotracheal Intubation
Abstract: Objective To observe hemodynamic changes during application of electroacupuncture to anesthesia induction and endotracheal intubation. Methods Forty patients for selective operation were randomly divided into dlectroacupuncture and control groups,20 cases each. The patients’ systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and heart rate(HR)were recorded before anesthesia, after anesthesia induction, during endotracheal intubation, and at 1 min,3 min and 5 min after endotracheal intubation, after they entered the operation room. Results SBP and DBP were significantly lower in different stages than before anesthesia (P0.05).HR had no significant difference.SBP and DBP were significantly higher during endotracheal intubation than after anesthesia in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture of Neiguan and Shenmen and acupuncture of Shanzhong can effectively inhibit stress reaction due to endotracheal intubation and stabilize blood circulation.
