Title: Sedimentary Evolution of Middle Ordovician Ma5 1~4 Submembers in the Southern Jingbian Tableland
Abstract: The Majiagou formation,Middle Ordovician,in the Ordos Basin had become a nice karst reservoir since it was uplifted in the Caledonian movement and eroded. An elaborative study of micro-sedimentary facies is of great significance in the oil-gas exploration. The micro-sedimentary face maps of Ma5 1-4 submembers were compiled from statistics data of drilling cores and logging and detailed analyses of data obtained by single factor analyses(including contents of dolomite, limestone, gypsum and mudstone) and multifactor comprehensive mapping. The study has shown that the sedimentary framework of Ma5 members is restricted-platform,from the northwest to the southeast of the platform,it appears in turn as slope, shallow concave and the basin margin.A complete depositional cycle of transgression and regression was found in the sedimentary evolution, that is,the low sea level of Ma5-4 submember to the sea-level rising Ma5-3 submember then to the peak of the Ma5-2 submember and finally to the regression Ma5-1 submember. We established a depositional model for Ma5 1-4 submembers on the basis of their sedimentary characteristics.
