Title: Lifelong Learning Policies and Practices in UK since 1997
Abstract: UK has a long history of lifelong learning as it is one of the origins of adult education.At the government level,however,the rapid development of lifelong learning is a more recent agenda.By issuing a series of educational polices,the governments try to develop a culture of lifelong learning and thus create a learning society.Based on the lifelong learning policies and practices issued after 1997,the author explores the actual meaning of lifelong learning and analyzes the problems existing in UK's educational policies and practices.
