Title: Accuracy Assessment of Models and Parameters in Generator Dynamic Simulation
Abstract: Inaccuracy of models and parameters in simulation components will lead to an evident deviation between simulation results and measured data. This paper presents a novel method for the accuracy assessment of models and parameters in generator based on PSD-BPA simulation software. It takes the field PMU power data as injection at generator boundary bus to hybrid dynamic simulation by using time-varied load method, which can incorporate the mea-sured data into simulation system more directly. The simulation accuracy assessment work can be carried out through the examination of voltage and frequency at boundary bus. This method has high sensitivity of boundary injection to the model parameters, and it takes into account multiple disturbances to evaluate the accuracy of generator simulation with the help of setting index of disturbed depth of measured active power and reactive power. Test results of the case studies demonstrate the validity of the evaluation method.
