Abstract:The status of accumulated snow in spring 2007 was surveyed in Huitengliang(50 km south to Xilinhaote).With the method of fixed position on the spot observing, the influence of accumulated snow thickne...The status of accumulated snow in spring 2007 was surveyed in Huitengliang(50 km south to Xilinhaote).With the method of fixed position on the spot observing, the influence of accumulated snow thickness on the turning green of the forage was revealed.The results showed that appropriate snow was good for the forage turning green and growing.However snow would make the forage turn green a little late if it was too thick,but it didn't affect the general growth of the forage.The rate of the forage turning green in each treatment had little difference;Forage in each treatment showed the tendency that the growing speed of the forage was from slow to quick;the total production of the forage was increasing continuously during the forage turning green.However the growth speed of the forage and the production of the forage above ground in the area where the snow was too thick(such as the area where the snow is 40cm and 50cm in thickness) were slower than the other three treatments at the beginning of the forage turning green,but in the middle of the forage turning green,the speed increased obviously,and got to the same level as other treatments at the end of the observation.Read More
