Title: Effect of resveratrol on bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the curative effect of resveratrol on pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin in mice. Methods: Model of pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin in mice was replicated by intratracheal administration of bleomycin and they were treated with resveratrol. The pathomorphology,HYP,SOD and MDA of lung tissue were measured to reveal the event of pulmonary dam-age.Results:Resveratrol could obviously lower the amount of HYP and MDA of lung tissue in experimental pulmonary fibrosis of mice, and obviously enhance the activity of SOD in the lung tissue of mice. And pathological examination suggested resveratrol could obviously reduce alveolitis and pulmonary fibrosis and improve the pathomorphology of pulmonary fibrosis in animal model. Conclusion:Resveratrol may have the therapeutic effect on bleomycin-induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice.
