Title: StudyonSignal Control for Adaptive Transit Priority at Urban Road Intersection
Abstract: Giving buses priority at an isolated intersection is an efficient and realizable approach to decrease bus delay. This paper has presented the theory related about signal control for adaptive transit priority and defined the index R_bof the prejudgment for transit priority, which making the procedure of the prejudgment for transit prioritysimpliliedimmensely; The main point is analyzing the delay estimation for strategy of adaptive transit priority and determining the delay estimation model;Atlast,It is tested by the traffic simulation softweare VISSIM though an example, the study shows that the man average delay for adaptive transit prioritysignificantly lower than that for passive and active signal priority, and the efficiency is increased respectively by 8.2% and 13.1%,and the vehicle average delay declined as well.Adaptive transit priority pays more attention to the comprehensive utility than other strategies and acquires good control effect.
